Understanding the FMCSA Rules

You might have heard that truck drivers must speak English. That’s true – the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requires drivers to understand traffic signs, respond to officers, and fill out reports in English. However, there is no rule that says you can’t learn to drive a truck in Spanish!

Texas allows you to take the CDL written test and even the road test in Spanish if needed. In fact, many trucking companies are actively looking for Spanish-speaking drivers because they often run routes where being bilingual is an advantage. We make sure you learn everything you need to pass the exams and communicate effectively when it matters most.
