Our Program
Class A CDL School (160 Hours)
Week 1 CLP and ELDT (in class/online)
Week 2 Pre-trip Inspection (yard)

We handle CLP and CDL Skills Test scheduling with the DPS.
We are a 3rd party testing center for our students and able to provide all testing needs on site!
All our vehicles are automatic transmissions only.
Weekend Warrior Program available (7-10 weekends)
Our program begins with the essential foundation for success: your Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP) and Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT). During this first week, you'll participate in classroom or online sessions that cover crucial topics, including:
• General knowledge of commercial driving regulations
• Combination vehicle rules and requirements
• Air brake systems and safety procedures
• Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) regulations and testing requirements
We make this process straightforward and accessible. Our experienced instructors are here to answer your questions and ensure you fully understand the material. For your convenience, we offer these sessions both in person and online, allowing you to choose the best learning format for your lifestyle.Safety is our top priority at H & H XPRESS, and that starts with mastering the pre-trip inspection. During Week 2, you'll work directly with our instructors in the yard to learn how to properly inspect your vehicle before hitting the road.
• Our hands-on training includes:
• Understanding the key components of your truck
• Identifying potential mechanical issues
• Checking for leaks, loose parts, and damaged equipment
• Ensuring all lights, tires, and braking systems are fully functional
By mastering this essential skill, you'll be equipped to conduct thorough inspections, helping to ensure your safety and the safety of others on the road.During Week 3, we focus on one of the most challenging yet crucial skills in commercial driving: backing up. Our expert instructors will provide personalized coaching to help you build confidence while performing essential maneuvers such as:
• Straight-line backing
• Offset backing (left and right)
• Alley dock backing
We'll provide plenty of practice time in our designated training yard, ensuring you feel comfortable and prepared to handle these maneuvers when it counts.In the final week of our CDL Training Program, you'll gain real-world experience driving on the road under the guidance of our experienced instructors. This phase is critical for developing safe driving habits and learning how to navigate:
• City streets and rural roads
• Highway driving with merging and lane changes
• Safe turning techniques
• Defensive driving strategies to enhance safety
Our goal is to prepare you to feel confident and ready to operate a commercial vehicle in real-world conditions. With plenty of practice behind the wheel, you'll develop the skills needed to excel in your CDL Skills Test.
